URGENT: CALL YOUR STATE LEGISLATORS AND TELL THEM TO PASS CALCARE (AB 1900)

The Butch Ware for Governor campaign enthusiastically supports AB 1900, otherwise known as CalCare, or Medicare for All in California.
Every year, millions of people delay or deny themselves urgent medical care because of exorbitant costs.
Genuine preventative care is nonexistent.
Healthcare providers and patients are fleeced by private insurance companies seeking to increase their shareholder profits year by year.
Rural hospitals are closing as Medicaid is cut by the Trump administration.
Add that to a mass disabling event like the COVID-19 pandemic that is still ongoing and leaving more and more people with long COVID.
It is undeniable that our healthcare system has long been broken.
The Butch Ware for Governor campaign stands alone in its full-throated support of CalCare. Unlike many other candidates such as Katie Porter or Tom Steyer who are simply paying lip service to the issue, this has been a part of our platform since Day 1.
Democratic or Republican candidates will never deliver CalCare or Medicare for All because they are compromised. They accept lobbying money from pharmaceutical and private insurance companies who are deeply invested in maintaining the status quo and protecting profits.
This is why the Democratic-controlled legislature under Gov. Schwarzenegger was happy to introduce CalCare performatively, knowing it would be vetoed. This is also why Gavin Newsom, despite explicitly promising he would pass CalCare in order to secure the endorsement of the California Nurses' Association, later reneged on his promise when he got elected.
Now is the time to register with the Green Party. This is the time to vote Green. Greens are committed to never taking a cent of corporate or PAC money in order to remain principled and committed to YOU, the working class.
You can help power the movement for CalCare TODAY. Call your state representatives and let them know that Californians need and want CalCare. Tell them to pass AB 1900.

Dr. Rudolph “Butch” Ware is running for Governor of California with the Green Party.
